Parallel Lines

Yep, it’s about the time for that guy to enter the café. Today, he wears a black fitted shirt and black pants. He never wears other colors than black or white. He has a fair skin and a Japanese-style haircut. He is around 180 cm and has a broad shoulder. His body is not too muscular but hard and lean. He looks like some Korean singer.

As usual, he goes straight to his favorite place, the left corner of the café, near the big glass window. He then made an order of salmon sandwich and a cup of black coffee.
He placed his laptop on the coffee table and start working his magic. His fingers dance across the keyboards. His eyes locked to laptop’s display. He always looks serious when doing his works. Once a waiter told me that he is an owner of a growing business enterprise in this city.

I think I have fall for him as he become my main reason of keep coming back to this café, except for the fact that I’m attached to the café’s famous dessert, strawberry cheesecake, which just melt in your mouth and left a vanilla fragrance that lingers in your mouth for hours. I just love it and like to accompany it with a humble friend of hot green tea. It’s just perfect.

I never know when or why I fall for him. There’s a sense of attraction since the first time I saw him, which was a month ago. Is it his coolness, is it the mystery around him, or just simply because he is gorgeous, I will never know or maybe a whole package of it that makes me attracted to him. Ever since then, I kept coming to this café at this particular hour, which at 8 pm, and miraculously, he’s always there.

Suddenly, my phone vibrates, it’s my co-worker that works in creative division.

“Hey girl, where are you right now?”
“as usual dear”
“Haha.., till when do you want to sit there and kept looking at him, talk to him, brave yourself.”
“Well, I’m not like you, right”
“What do you mean, haha…at least I’m not being a crazy girl, who sit in a café after works, waiting for her prince charming to come.”
“Haha..thanks for reminding me.”
“Well, just want to tell you and sorry for popping your bubble of dreamworld. I’m afraid that you must come back to the office.”
“Why?”
“Well, I just got the news that our client want to change the concept of our new product launching.”
“WHAT?! Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m deadly serious”
“Ok then, be there soon”
“Yep, see you”

I call the waiter and ask for my bill. I take my last glimpse of him for tonight. He is still busily working. His back is bended a little bit towards his laptop. I paid my bill and make my way out of the café, silently saying “good night and see you tomorrow”.
.......…………………………………………………………….

In this café, this is my corner of Zen, accompanied with a tasty salmon sandwich and a hot black coffee. Moreover, through this glass window besides me, I can enjoy another face of this hectic and crammed city, an offer of refuge from my daily stress.

Well there she goes. She will never know that she is my main reason of keep coming back to this café. I love the way her eyes sparks when she eats her favorite strawberry cheesecake. Well I dunno if it’s her favorite dessert or not, but she keeps ordering the same things every times she comes, strawberry cheesecakes and hot green tea. There’s a vibe of calmness surrounds her, an inner peace that makes her face glows. Seeing her is my addiction that I can not get over with.

While she walks towards the door, I whispered “good night and see you tomorrow”.

A Tale of A Heart

My heart is a troubled heart
Worries and despair are spinning inside it
It isn't a perfect heart
It has patches and some bandages are still on the wet wounds
But still it's whole when it's in Your hands

Be still my heart
For you know that He is your caretaker
Go to sleep and take a rest, for His words are your lullaby
Be quiet and learn to see the beauty of pain
For He is near to the broken hearted

Lovely heart,
I love you
We'll get through this journey of life
Walking side by side, holding hands
Being true to you, is what i promised
Fight till the end of time, my dear

Till the end of time...
